Deep-Sea Fishing in the Arctic Ocean
The fishermen receive only a modest base salary but are paid a percentage of the sales proceeds. This means: The more they catch, the more they earn. The fishermen process the catch directly on board. But suddenly, the equipment comes to a standstill. No one knows what¹s wrong. Will the crew have to return to shore? Also on board is scientific observer Tim Schorr. His job is to document what the crew is catching from the sea. But he falls ill and must disembark as soon as possible. The problem: the nearest port is a two days¹ journey away. The film offers a glimpse into the tough business of deep-sea fishing - work the fishermen love, despite the hardships.
